Course Description:
This webinar provides a progression from Assessment and Treatment to a more specific direction and the treatment of Torticollis. A limited review of assessment, typical and atypical development will be included with the emphasis on treatment. This is a great course for the pediatric therapist who treats babies and wants to apply handling techniques to little bodies. You must have a 18 inch jointed doll for use during lab practice sessions. Presentation will be via lecture/PPP, video clips and facilitation practice sessions.
Course Objectives
The participant will:
Have a basic understanding of the history of baby treatment and why baby treatment is different from treatment of older children.
Understand how to assess a baby’s sensory motor impairments with a focus on torticollis.
Understand how to write specific goals for infant torticollis.
Apply treatment techniques to encourage movement and sensory motor development while addressing torticollis impairments.
Understand basic typical and atypical development for the first six months of life.
Practice handling with video demos and practice sessions.

Kacy is a Neuro-Developmental Treatment Coordinator Instructor and has organized and taught NDT oriented courses for over 30 years. She is a active clinician and owner of City Kids, Inc., maintaining current knowledge in taping, casting, baby treatment and lower extremity biomechanics.
